New CID Cosmetics Manchester Masterclass

On Thursday evening, a handful of bloggers made their way to New ID Studios Manchester for a make-up masterclass with New CID Cosmetics international make-up artist, Mikey. I hadn't paid very much attention to New CID Cosmetics before, though I know a lot of bloggers love them, so I was interested to find out more about the brand and products.

After we'd all settled down with a glass of bucks fizz, Mikey explained how New CID Cosmetics was created in response to women overwhelmed by the range of products readily available on the market. Which products would work for them? Which colours? New CID wanted to simplify it by making easy to use products in shades as universal as possible.

Mikey started by showing us a Spring look - polished skin, pink-plum lips, bronzer and a pop of blush. Lipstick was buffed on to the cheeks for dewy colour, I love when make-up artists use products in unconventional ways! He then moved on to an evening look with smokey eyes, using black gel eyeliner as a base and the MOST INCREDIBLE silvery mousse eyeshadow.

Each product we were shown was perfect for the job at hand, well packaged, well made, diverse and modern. The stand outs for me were the i-dazzle shimmer powder, i-groom eyebrow pencil and the mousse eyeshadows (which I don't think will be available to buy - boooo!) I was quite surprised, as honestly, I wasn't expecting to be impressed by a brand you don't hear very much from!

We were also given a generous selection of products to try out at home, so far I'm really enjoying the i-flutter mascara and can't wait to give the i-prime a thorough testing!

New CID Cosmetics can be bought from their online store. To attend a masterclass or have a make-up lesson, check out the services available at New ID Studios.
