FOTD - Gaga Style 'Liner and Jewels!

I LOVE Lady Gaga's make-up style. It's always bold and unapologetic (helloooo facial prosthetics) and looks fierce as Hell. I've no idea what video it was for, but I remember seeing photos of her with double liner and some sort of golden jewels/ glitter dripping from the bottom line and thought it looked all kinds of amazing. I knew an old, cheap broach I had would be perfect for a jewels 'n' liner Gaga look...

[[ I look far more jrock than Gaga, right?! ]]

EYES - Sleek black eyeshadow, Illamasqua gel sealant (love this stuff), Kryolan white eyeliner, Yaby white eyeshadow, mascara, cut up broach attached with Duo lash glue.

FACE - Maybelline foundation, Kryolan ultra foundation (pale shade as concealer, darker shade to contour), NYX 'Milk' pencil to highlight, Kryolan powder.

LIPS - Illamasqua 'Disciple' lipstick (which I reviewed yesterday.)

I attempted to hide my eyebrows, but I have no soft wax, glue stick and the only soap we have is neon yellow - no good! I tried blanking them out with the jumbo pencil and concealer, but those babies are way too used to stealing the limelight. Mum - "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR EYEBROWS?! Oh, have you just not filled them in?" yes, my lack of 'power brows' is far stranger than blue lipstick and jewellery dangling off my face.

What do you think to Gaga's make-up style? Love or loathe?

  10. I lurrrved her makeup in the 'Telephone' video but generally I find it a bit 'meh', her clothes usually overpower whatever she's got on her face and I'm just not into it. I really like your interpretation, though!

  18. Fantastic.

I love Lady Gaga's makeup, even if sometimes it is not my preference, at least it is different and it keeps things interesting. Makeup should be like that, it's not permanent, why not be different?

  21. This looks great! I think filling your brows in with a very pale blue powder would have been a nice alternative to the blanked-out look, but also might have been a bit much along with the blue lips...
    The gems look amazing!
