I've been on Pinterest for a little while, actually, but haven't really gotten to grips with it yet! I've just been uploading some of my pictures from this blog and will continue to do so as I take more :) Right now I've got two boards, one of blog pics and one of hair inspiration (which I might delete) - I'm not sure I'll make more due to the terms and conditions of Pinterest.

ReplyDelete@ Emi, basically, if you post a picture you don't own and whoever owns that picture doesn't give you permission and sues Pinterest/ disputes it/ whatever, you have to cover fees for yourself AND Pinterest. Pinterest claims no involvement whatsoever.
Wow, that is really terrible. Though I wonder if that would actually be an enforceable agreement in court (I'm guessing not) - though it would sure be an expensive battle to fight.
ReplyDelete@ Emi, nothing would probably come of it due to the very nature of Pinterest, but by signing up to the site you more or less agree to it should anything happen!

ReplyDeleteAlso I always try to find the original owner of the image to make sure its not artwork or someones photography they sell. Its pinterest politeness : )
