FOTD - Mascara Print Eyes

You ever feel like applying a really 'done up' face, but have next to no time to do it in? That was my issue earlier this week! After making myself up exactly like my last red lipped look, I came to applying mascara and thought I was almost finished...until...

I got a blob of mascara on my lid. Now, I've been embracing mascara smudges lately, partly because of how cumbersome the Max Factor 'False Lash' mascara wand is, partly because Sam from Pixiwoo does!  So, instead of trying to remove it (this mascara is a pain to remove anyway) I got a little mascara print happy.

It was smudgy, it creased, but I enjoyed it! Paired with a red lip and dark eyebrows, I looked rather Frankenfurter, but I couldn't bring myself to remove the lippy so rocked it like the mad transvestite 'scientist' instead.

What do you think to mascara print patterns? Do you leave mascara mistakes or wipe them away?

  4. yes why not!?
everything seems to be too well blended sometimes, and therefor you need some smudginess! and it kind of reminds of prints you can make with lace, but I think you did this by hand right?
    I'd say this is a killer!/Azure

  5. Pretty! I tend to make 'messy' smudgy liner over the top if I make a major mascara mistake, but that's not very often these dayys as I have such piddly lashes and I never use the big brushes :( If it's a tiny wee mistake which happens all the time I just clear it up.

  6. I always leave my mascara prints on the lower lashline as from a distance it just looks like more lower lashes! And in some looks you need a bit of smudge.

Nothing wrong with looking like a mad transvestite alien 'scientist'. I like the mascara prints :)

  9. This does look pretty neat!
When I make mistakes, I wait for it to dry, then peel the mascara off and touch up with shadow.

  11. I think it looks fun. It requires some nerve, and gives you this 'cool but not caring about being cool' look, haha :)

  12. This is amusingly coincidental, as I'm going to see Rocky Horror Picture Show tomorrow, and I'm making up my friend to look like said mad transvestite scientist :P
