New Nose Piercings + Return of the Septum!

After a few days of whining on Twitter about how much I wanted a new piercing, I finally got something done! I settled on having both nostrils pierced and paid Holier Than Thou (Oxford Road, Manchester) a visit.

I was pretty nervous when I went in since I hadn't had a piercing done in about 6 years, but my piercer soon put me at ease. She tried to mark up where the studs would be as symmetrically as possible, which was practically impossible on my wonky nose! The piercings were over and done with in just a few minutes and felt no worse than the needle when giving blood. Uncomfortable, but not unbearable.

I also bought a segment ring and decided to resurrect my (wonky) septum piercing. I kinda missed it and thought it had been hidden away long enough!

It'll take me a little while to get used to all of this new metal in my face, but so far I'm quite enjoying it all!

What's the last piercing you had? Which do you want to get?

  4. Like I said on Twitter, it looks fab! My last piercing was a labret, which I've since retired :( I'm itching to get another piercing, maybe my other nostril, maybe something else in my ears... :D x

  5. I have my nose pierced and I really like it, I'm tempted to get my septum pierced but I'm not sure it'd really suit me x

  6. They look good on you! I like symmetric piercings the best :)

I have a septum too and I've had it for 7 years but haven't worn it much the past 3 years because of work. Lucky for me, my new boss is cool and doesn't mind it, so I started wearing it again :)

  7. Oh, the double nose piercings suit you so well! I had my septum done just over 2 months ago, it healed so easily. I recently put a smooth segment ring in it as well! Love the look of them. Got a Snug done at the same time and that fricking KILLED. Apart from more ear piercings, I think I'm all done for the time being!

  8. These look great! I wish I'd had my nose pierced when I was at uni - now that I work in an office facial piercings are not really an option. x

  10. Awesome! My last piercing was my but I had to take it out for my job. I only had for four months :( My next piercing will be just normal sized lobe piercings next to my stretch ears. Boring, but I'm hoping to maybe have a rook at the same time.
I love septum piercings and yours looks cute!

  11. YAY! I haven't really seen many people with these, think I'm the only person I know who has both nostrils and their septum done! I don't wear mine down though, as it's been stretched to 4mm so a BCR in it would be HAAAYYOOOOOGE.

Think my next one will be a horizontal lip piercing...love letting my boss experiment on me :) xxx

  12. My last piercing was my labret, but I had to take it out for an emergency surgery and was out of it for so many days on morphine it healed over :( I want to get it redone ASAP. x

  15. Ooh, I like the new piercings - they really suit you! :) I have one stud on the side of my nose. When I was really little, I had my ears pierced, but I hated them so much my parents let me stop wearing them. I don't think earrings suit me, though, even as an adult, lol. Although, I have contemplated getting an industrial piercing, so I don't know!

  17. Your piercings look amazing! I would love a septum piercing but I don't think work would appreciate it too much :( all in all I've had both my nostrils pierced, tragus, lip and tongue were pierced 3 times each and labret but took them all out because of work, I really miss them :(

  21. ahh they look so good! I had mine done but they fell out and I need to get them redone. Love the septum. I took mine out because it was so annoying when I had to blow my nose hahahaha!

  22. This looks freaking awesome. Makes me want to put my nose ring back in!

The only think is my lip ring is on the same side of my nose piercing. Will it look silly with 2 hoopes on 1 side? DISCUSS. xx

  23. I think they look great & I LOVE seeing beauty bloggers with piercings!

I pierced my left nostril way back in '99(first non-ear piercing. Oh, the sense of rebellion, lol) and I've been thinking about doing the other side too. My job doesn't care how I look, but I haven't gotten it done cause I'm terrified they'll get it crooked. I have a septum ring too & thanks to my nose being wonky to begin with, it sits *slightly* crooked & now I'm all gun shy about getting anything else done. You may have just inspired a trip to the piercing shop for me though :3
