FOTD - Burnt Orange Androdgyny

I'm feeling a little androgynous lately since I'm not straightening my hair, so it's always scraped up off my face. A lack of hair style, lack of curves and lack of pretty clothes is a sure fire way to feel like a boy! Luckily, I've never been a girly girl so I'm happy to look a bit boyish - the girliest thing about me is this blog!

EYES - UDPP, Darling Girl 'Glitter Glue', Shiro Cosmetics 'Subrosia', Esteé Lauder 'Rose Confetti', MAD Minerals 'Camisole', MAC 'Pink Bronze' pigment, UD 'Lucky' pencil eyeliner, mascara.

FACE - No.7 'Beautifully Matte' foundation, Collection 2000 'Lasting Perfection' concealer, Collection 2000 face powder, Sleek 'Sahara' blush (love), Fyrinnae 'Centre Stage' highlighter.

LIPS - MAC 'Honeylove' lipstick, MAC 'Blankety' lipstick.

I kept this leaning to the feminine side with paler brows than usual, lots of highlighter on the cheekbones and curved contours. I think if you were really going after the 'pretty boy make-up' trend, you'd need to thicken up, darken and straighten out the eyebrows a tad, use a sheerer eyeshadow (if any) and contour a little heavier.

What do you think to wearing such warm colours around the eyes? What are your favourite orange/ red eyeshadows?

  1. I think you still look rather feminine 'cause of your face shape and features. Lovely look though :) x

  2. Love this. It's weird because you never really see orange used as eye shadow, but you have shown that it can look amazing! Loving the more neutral brows too, brings more attention ton your gorgeous features and eye make up :) xxx

  3. I love this softer look on you with more natural brows. I love dramatic make-up a lot, but it's great to see you totally different. Nice colors too. My current favourite 'orange' is mad minerals' desert sand :)

  6. I love how orange looks on medium to darker skin tones, but hardly see women with lighter skin tones wearing orange or red on their eyes. Glad you showed that lighter skin tones can pull it off too.

My mum has this old eyeshadow from the Body Shop called Brick Red.. I love that colour!
