No, I'm not planning on having a sex change and overthrowing Ozzy from his throne, I'm talking lipstick (obviously). Recently I won a giveaway over at The Sunday Girl for a MAC lipstick of my choice! I was mega excited and after much inner debate, settled on the rather gothy 'Prince Noir'.
EYES - Illamasqua Sealing Gel, Sleek black eyeshadow.
FACE - Collection 2000 'Lasting Perfection' concealer, No.7 'Beautifully Matte' foundation mixed with a little Natural Collection 'Shine Away' foundation, Kryolan powder, The Balm 'Hot Mama' blush, Fyrinnae 'Centre Stage' highlight.
LIPS - MAC 'Prince Noir' lipstick.
Perfect Autumn/ Winter shade or what?! I loved wearing this today, it's such a 'me' look and I felt pretty rock 'n' roll sat in my life drawing class! I've also started using a slightly darker brown for my eyebrows, just by adding a tiny bit of black to my brush and mixing with my usual brown. At first I did it by accident (naughty naughty dirty eyeliner brush) but, surprisingly, I liked it! Some accidents work out well.
'Prince Noir' is actually a wee bit redder than I managed to picture, but definitely leans towards the berry side of things. Temptalia has a more accurate swatch here if you'd like to see!

ReplyDeleteI love your lipstick it looks really good on you + your skin looks flawless! (:
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Such a lovely, polished look for a/w. Am definitely going to give it a go myself! x
ReplyDeleteI have been feeling tempted by Prince Noir myself. You've sold me. Also, your dark eyebrows, Jack Daniels shirt and knitted cap lend you a modern rock-n-roll aesthetic.
ReplyDeleteGod you look absolutely amazing! I would kill to look liek you here. It's my exact style I just can't quite seem to tame my face into behaving. -sighs-. Absolutely LOVE!

Nice makeup.
ReplyDeleteI am lemming all lipsticks dark and gothy at the moment so naturally I'm loving this! Also the darker brows really suit you!
ReplyDeleteApparently this shade was one of the most used on the A/W shows this year. Meh. Not sure if that's true but it looks made for you!

Just wondered what you do to make your lipstick look like that? Because the swatches look very dark and im scared it will look too dark for my very pale skin tone. It looks amazing on you though, you're very pretty (:
ReplyDelete@ EVERYONE - Jeez, I can't believe I never replied properly to this post :/ Fail on my behalf, but thanks, these kind of shades are my faves!
ReplyDelete@ chemical. catastrophies, I just applied it straight from the bullet. You could apply it by rubbing the colour onto your lips with your finger lightly, it will leave behind a stain of colour not quite as harsh as applying it directly :)
