I've felt like getting back into doing picture tutorials lately, so, hopefully, here is one in a long line!
2. Use a high shine highlight colour on the inner lid (MAC 'Nylon') and swoop it around under the inner lower lashline.
3. Grab a medium eyeshadow, I'm using a grey-purple with copper duochrome (Fyrinnae 'Te Amo'), but you can use any colour you fancy. Apply the eyeshadow to the remainder of the lid and just past the crease. You can also use any texture, but I'm feeling like all out shimmer today!
4. Blend your medium shade into the brow bone using a pale, highlight shade (peachy pink from MUA 'Heaven and Earth' palette). If you've used mostly shimmer or glitter so far, a matte shade would be best to balance the look.
5. Using a small angle brush, line your upper lashes in a dark, matte black (Yaby black) and gently blend outwards to soften the edges. It's important to flick out the black at the edges to form a winged shape, as this will act as a guide in the next step.
6. Blend the winged out black inwards, to define the crease. You can blend a bit more black in if you so desire.
7. If you now have a harsh black shape, layer a little of your medium shade over the edges and blend into your highlight.
8. Line your lower lashline with your medium shade and a touch of black. Add black eyeliner (Barry M pencil eyeliner) to the waterline for definition.
9. Fill in your eyebrows! I can't stress how important this is in dark or dramatic looks. They really help to frame your face and show your eye makeup to its best. I use an eyebrow pen (Stargazer) layered dark, matte brown eyeshadow (MUA Shade 19).
10. Wiggle your mascara into your lashes to build volume and swoop upwards for length. You can, of course, use falsies too for added definition.
EYE MAKE-UP COMPLETE!
I know that sometimes it's difficult to decide what else to use on your face after focusing on one area for so long - so here's how I finished the look. Blended pinky-terracotta (mix of Topshop 'Crushed Berry' and 'Nutmeg' cream blush) on my cheeks to bring back some colour to my face and added a glowing highlight (Fyrinnae 'Centre Stage') to the cheekbones. The berry pink lips (Topshop 'Crushed Berry' cream blush and generic pink gloss) help to tie together the purple of my eyeshadow and the pink of my blush for a balanced but fresh look.
Hope you like it!
