Week in Photos #13

MAIL. Somehow I managed to buy quite a bit and everything arrived at once! Some stuff from Darling Girl, which I've already written about, Fyrinnae and Shiro Cosmetics. The other parcel is from a blog sale.

AAAW. My 'I'm 18...' cup broke :'( but my mother bought me this awesome golliwog cup! Isn't is ridiculously cute? She also bought me a red, flowery one, but says I can't have any more red stuff or my uni room will 'look like a womb. A big, red womb.'

GTFU. Isn't getting out of bed the hardest thing when you have nothing to fill your days with? I really, really want a job but searching and applying has gotten me nowhere so far this year. It's awful. I'm not even bothered about the money any more, I just want SOMETHING TO DO.

  6. @ Mercedes, yes it is a bit of self help, that note! Haha :) I'm really hoping something crops up. I'll probably end up volunteering somehwere just to fill in the time.

    @ Kia, thanks!

@ Jane, ha, whenever I spot something now, if it's red, she'll just say 'Womb.' and I'll know it isn't a good idea haha.

@ Lisa, it's so frustrating, isn't it? Especially when you have a great worth ethic! I'd employ me! Ha :)

@ Sue, it is epic :)

  7. I find the image on the mug to be disturbing, it's a throw back to racist imagery of the previous decades. I realise that is NOT why you have it but I'm turned off by it nonetheless.

  8. @ Sarah, I don't blame you, I can see why you would think that. However, I do think that by now most people see the golliwog as nothing more than a nostalgic character.
