NOTD - Totally Cracked Up Teal

I received both of these polishes from a blog giveaway and knew I had to pair them up as soon as I saw them! I'd actually been eyeing up No.7 'Totally Teal' for a while, but always managed to forget about it when I was in Boots...

The 17 Crackle Top Coat is quite odd - in the bottle, you can't decide if it's gold, silver or a bizarre combination of the two. On the nail, it shows as a semi-matte silver with the faintest tinge of warm gold. The trick with this crackle is to use the thinnest coat you possibly can - I swiped the brush on the neck of the bottle about five times before brushing it on! I hope 17 come out with more crackles, because I actually really like this formula, perhaps they'll release some more at Christmas again...

17 Xtras Crackle Top Coat retails for £3.99 from Boots, No.7 Stay perfect polish in 'Totally Teal' retails at £7 - also from Boots.

Anyone else got this top coat? Which colours do you pair it with?

  1. These look great paired together! I always forget what I go in for when I go to Boots too! I get a bit carried away haha!! I think silver crackle goes nice over navy, I have Models own one though not this one!

  5. The more I look at all the crackle polishes, and the more I think I need to get one and try it to really decided how it looks like on... I keep being skeptical, but they're everywhere, I can't avoid being intrigued... And also, the teal base looks like a really nice color!
