Wrapped in Light

I thought I'd share an image from my portfolio with you today :)

A lot of people get a little disheartened when it comes to getting portfolio-worthy photographs, but you don't always need a pro photographer, studio equipment, agency model or designer clothing to get a crackin' picture! This was shot by me, in my bedroom, with my friend and a £4 jacket from eBay. Pretty simple, right?

  5. Great!

Portfolios can be super frustrating. I still don't have a physical portfolio.

  7. Thanks, folk!

The red lights were a string of wall lights over her shoulder, the overall lighting was just natural light from the window. I used a slow exposure to get wiggles of red light and stopped dead as I felt the shutter just about to close, keeping the 'subject' sharp and in focus.
