FOTD - Red Eyeshadow? Yes Please!

Recently I've been enamoured with red eyeshadow - whether it's firey hot or dark and vampy, I haven't been able to take my mind off it. I blame the Pixiwoo sisters, whenever they use red tones with their cool bluey greeny greyish eyes my brain goes a bit loopy - it must be love, right?

Oh, say 'Hi' to my new wig, too! I wont link you to where I bought it exactly because they sent the wrong style and colour *rolls eyes* I had to cut and steam style it myself (hence the slightly dodgy fringe) to make it wearable.

See how red kinda brings out the yellowy green rings in my iris? Red seriously works with any eye colour, it's just a case of finding something to suit your skin tone.

OOH! I have a shiny new hat, too, I figured it was about time I bought one. New Look to the rescue with this £4.99 slouchy, bobble hat :)

EOTD - Absinthe and Vanity

I thought I'd attempt a green look since I rarely every do...but it kinda turned out blue. Go figure!

EYES - TFSI, Darling Girl 'Dandelion Dust', Urban Decay 'Absinthe', Little Mouse Ears 'Resentful', Yaby 'So Vein', Natural Collection 'Sea Shell', Fyrinnae 'Shrouded in Gold', Sleek 'Orbit' from the matte dark palette, Stargazer eyeliner, Barry M 'Silver' bold pencil eyeliner, mascara.

The gold accents on the flicks were kinda fun, even if a bit messy since all of my fine brushes have vanished -_- I really need some new ones so that I can mix up some interesting shades to use as eyeliner. I'm starting to dislike the black hair, too, I just think it's too harsh. Maybe once I've whipped out the fake tan it'll look more natural...Perhaps it's just because I'm not used to it!

FOTD - Make Mine Melon

Since realizing a few days ago that my Fyrinnae 'Rapunzel Had Extensions' eyeshadow has vanished, I've been torturing myself thinking of ways in which I could use it. With bright golds, with hot pink, over a black base...Lucky for me, MAC 'Melon' pigment is pretty close, so I put together a look with that instead!

Please excuse the fact that my hair is somewhere between 'that crap your dog coughs up' and 'swamp monster' colour wise. I used a colour remover to take out the dregs of greeny-blue that were lingering - that's for an entirely different post, though!

I'm debating dying my hair again tonight! Who can guess which colour? It's really easy to guess since this colour is in almost all of my FOTDs!

FOTD - Purple Mints

Yesterday I sorted out the utter mess that was my eyeshadow drawer and figured it would make sense to put a few to use! I utterly love this mint blue/ green MUFE shade which I picked up at IMATS, it pairs so nicely with my usual purples...

EYES - TFSI, NYX 'Milk' jumbo pencil, MUFE '93', MUA shade 12, Urban Decay 'Mayhem', Darling Girl Cosmetics 'April Love', Fyrinnae 'Moon Child', Darling Girl Cosmetics 'Apparition', Kryolan flesh coloured pencil eyeliner, Collection 2000 felt tip eyeliner, mascara.

FACE - Collection 2000 'Lasting Perfection' concealer, No.7 'Beautifully Matte' foundation, Collection 2000 powder, The Balm 'Frat Boy' blush, No.7 highlighting powder.

LIPS - MAC 'Honeylove' lipstick, New CID gloss.

Isn't the silvery shade (Darling Girl Cosmetics 'Apparition') kick-ass? It's so gorgeous in person, brilliant silver with multi-coloured sparkles. If you're a fan of Shiro Cosmetics 'Master Sword', I'd definitely recommend 'Apparition' - they're very similar shades, but 'Apparition' is more silver.

(P.S) I'm fading my hair dye, so that's why it looks murky green right now!

FOTD - Sugar Pink

I felt like doing something bright, simple and a bit glittery today. I think the miserable, cold rain made me crave happy, warm colours!

I love how sometimes when layering or blending black and pink eyeshadows you end up with a purple shade. Doesn't my lower lashline look a bit like I've run a little MUFE 92 along it?

This was the first time I've straightened my hair in about a month! I've been going heat free on and off for the past year but I think this was the longest I've gone without at least straightening my fringe. I've had SO MANY fewer dead ends and much less dryness since skipping straightening...I'm still due a trim, though!

This is my look to go and see Sorocco Drive in Manchester. They're a pretty darn funky band, mixing some kinda funk/ ska/ blues vibes and ending up with something pretty distinctive. ANYWAY. You wanna see what I did to my face?

^ This was my 'Uh oh, I'm wearing coloured eyeshadow, falsies and hair extensions - my boyfriend wont be impressed.' face. You'll be glad to know it was soon followed by a 'Good thing I don't care! Yay! Colours!' face.

Now I'm gonna go eat some sweet potato bubble and squeak on toast (best thing ever), pack my bar crawl bag and spray silly amounts of H&M 'Black Vanilla' over myself. Yum on all accounts!

FOTD - Nirvana

Today I combined a few of my recent favourite eyeshadows for a bright but strangely (almost) subtle look.

FACE - No.7 'Beautifully Matte', Collection 2000 face powder, Sleek 'Sahara' blush, Fyrinnae 'Centre Stage', Collection 2000 'Lasting Perfection' concealer.

LIPS - Concealer, Bobby Pin gloss, Sleek 'Sahara' blush.

I adore the look of cool, pale blues and deep red toned browns together - they're so striking and pretty. 'Lumi' over 'Monarchy' reminds me of MAC 'Blue Brown' pigment, something I've lusted after FOREVER. Guess I've found a close enough, kinda dupe for it, though!

Continuing in my bid to get back in to colour, I added some of my favourite EVER turquoise into a neutral look.

Merman eyes to match my (almost...kinda) mermaid hair :) I'm seeing how far the turquoise dye will fade before it becomes a disgusting shade of green. I'd really quite like a paler colour, so we'll see if it actually suits me.

FOTD - Step into Christmas!

Today (well, technically yesterday) was the last day of uni before Christmas break and the SFX crew hosted a Christmas party! There were SO MANY people at the SU bar, tutors, graduates, people 'from industry' and us little first years too. The third years received silly awards from each other and everyone had a good laugh. It was lovely to see how 'together' the people in my course are and a fantastic way to round off the first 12 weeks of uni!

As you can see, I didn't go anywhere near as glittery as I first intended! Why? Because I'm still finding stray bits of glitter on my face 4 days later! When I started this, I didn't intend on eyeliner OR dark lips but, y'know me, can't resist 'Prince Noir'! It's definitely my HG dark lippy. That's right, guys - HOLY GRAIL STATUS.

Tonight I decided to practice an idea I want to use for the uni Christmas party on Friday! I used an abundance of glitter, which promptly migrated down my face, over my arms, onto my jeans...I've a feeling I'll be clearing it up for weeks!

I quite like the inner flick style lately, and pen eyeliners make them sooo easy to achieve! I'm also loving Sleek 'Sahara' blush, which looks pretty intimidating in the pan but applies as a really warm, flattering peachy terracotta. Beautiful!
