Over the Summer, I got so used to the only time I wore make-up being at work behind a dark, hectic bar, that slowly my work make-up became my day to day face. I think the only thing I do differently is skipping on highlighting my cheekbones! Somehow, I've become pretty fast at it these days and even wear it for staring at computers for hours at uni.
I managed to snap a few pictures on Sunday before going bowling (I won! First time I've ever been and not come last haha) since I quite liked this one! I usually use any of the shimmery shades from 'Undress Me Too' on the lid, the Fashionista browns in the crease and the black from 'Undress Me Too' to darken things down a bit.
EYES - TFSI, MUA 'Undress Me Too' shade 'Tranquil', Fashionista dark and light from from the brow kit as eyeshadow, L'Oreal eyeliner, mascara.
FACE - Collection 'Lasting Perfection' concealer, Bourjois 'Healthy Mix'foundation, Rimmel 'Stay Matte' powder, NYC bronzer, Illamasqua 'Lover' blush.
LIPS - The Body Needs 'Chick Flick', some random sheer pink No.7 gloss.
Is your daily make-up getting darker, lighter, or remaining at a happy medium?

FOTD - Indie Every Day
Quick everyday make-up post before I fling my laptop and drawing tablet into my bag and head off to uni for a fun days lecture on magical CG shizzle.
[ I assure you my hair actually looks GOD DAMN awful at the ends. Still need to brave the hairdressers! ]
EYES - TFSI, Little Mouse Ears 'Aphrodisiac', Chinivi 'Smoke Out', MUA waterproof liquid eyeliner (this stuff is epic), NYC big lash mascara, Natural Collection 'Shell'.
FACE - Maybelline 'Fit Me' foundation, 17 concealer (this is awful, don't even think about trying it - I ban you from doing so!), Collection loose powder, The Balm 'Frat Boy' blush.
LIPS - Detrivore lip balm, The Body Needs 'Chick Flick' lip lustre.
How awesome is this Disney villains make-up bag my sister bought for me?! I was never overly into Disney as a kid (apart from The Little Mermaid and Pocahontas - amazing) but the evil witches always looked so badass I thought they were way cooler than the soppy princesses they harassed.
And now I'm off! Enjoy your day - whatever you're doing!
REVIEW - The Body Needs Lip Lusters
Back in the days when I frequented Livejournal make-up communities and Specktra was my make-up bible, I'd frequently make sneaky little purchases from The Body Needs for MAC samples. Soon after I discovered indie companies like Fyrinnae and my 'need' for MAC pigments died out...The Body Needs lay behind, forgotten...until recently...
I placed an order for a few lip products from The Body Needs own cosmetics range, since I'm always looking for an indie cosmetics line who can do lip colours well (it's a rarity, I find.) My order arrived from the USA within a couple of weeks, safely packaged along with an invoice and a free lip luster.
CHICK FLICK - 'Chick Flick' is a blue toned rose which just lingers on the pink-plum border. With its semi-sheer colour payoff, glossy texture, and flattering colour, 'Chick Flick' is a perfect everyday shade.
CORALBERRY - 'Coralberry' is a bright, well pigmented yellow toned coral which looks raspberry in some lights. If you find bright corals hard to wear (like me) 'Coralberry' is what you've been looking for...
CAFE CON LECHE - I was a bit taken aback when I opened this as on the site it looks much peachier, but 'Cafe con Leche' is definitely more brown than anything else. If pale browns are your thing, go forth and buy, otherwise...nah. I'll be using this to mix with other nude shades.
Overall, I'm mega impressed with the formula of each of these! They're all very comfortable to wear, non-drying, non-sticky, lightly moisturising and scent free. They glide on easily and they're great for layering should you want to build up the colour.
And the best thing? Probably the price - at $2.79 (£1.85!) each, there isn't really an excuse not to order a few - pop over to The Body Need and see which take your fancy.
